What Are The Ten Commandments?
The Lord said, "If you love me, keep my commandments."
 ~ John 14: 15 ~

The first four commandments specify the
acceptable way of relating to God.
The following six commandments specify the
acceptable way of relating to our fellow man.

The Lord summed up these ten commandments
by giving us the First and Second Great Commandments.

The First Great Commandment

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
~ Matthew 22: 37, 38 ~

The Second Great Commandment

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
~ Matthew 22: 39 ~

Are The Ten Commandments Still Valid?

Yes! Read what Jesus Christ said about the law of God.

Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5: 17, 18)

Why did God give us His ten commandments?

O, that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever! (Deuteronomy 5: 29)

What does God expect from us?

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments for it is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12: 13)

What is the beginning of wisdom and to whom is given good understanding?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments. His praise endureth forever. (Psalms 111. 10)

How do we choose to be blessed or cursed by God?

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. (Deuteronomy 11: 26-28)

What does God urge us to do?

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. (Deuteronomy 30: 19)

What is the perpetual sign between God and man that identifies who is being worshipped?

Speak thou unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. (Exodus 31: 12, 13)

What is the acceptable way of showing our love for God?

If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14: 15)

To whom will Jesus Christ manifest Himself?

He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14: 21)

How can we be certain that we know the Lord?

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (1 John 2: 3-5)
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loveth Him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. (1 John 5: 1-3)

How can we know that God hears and answers our prayers?

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (1 John 3: 21)

How is sin defined?

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (1 John 3: 4)

Where does God tell us to place His law as a sign?

And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6: 8-9)

Where are the servants of God sealed?

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of God in their foreheads. (Revelation 7: 2,3)

To whom does God give His Holy Spirit?

And we are his witnesses of these things: and so is also the Holy Ghost [Spirit] whom God has given to them that obey him. (Acts 5: 32)

What is the sealing agent?

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased posession, unto the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1: 13)

Who will have the right to the tree of life and to enter in through the gates into the city?

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city.     (Revelation 22: 14)

By whose authority?

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Revelation 22: 13)
Exodus 20: 1-17 KJV

And God spake all these words, saying: I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work; thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.

5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

6. Thou shalt not kill.

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8. Thou shalt not steal.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anythng that is thy neighbour's.
